The Course · Hole By Hole

Nine Individual
Challenges.

The Blind at Whale Beach Country Club01

Par 3

The Blind

A challenging blind chip onto a sloping green that needs to be carefully planned to ensure a reasonable putt.
The Touch at Whale Beach Country Club02

Par 3

The Touch

The shortest pitch, requiring a deft touch to avoid the rough.
The Pacific at Whale Beach Country Club03

Par 3

The Pacific

One of the most scenic holes in world golf, this shot traverses a steep incline onto an undulating green set against Whale Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Between The Rocks at Whale Beach Country Club04

Par 3

Between The Rocks

The tee box challenges the player to lob the ball between the ocean and a menacing sandstone wall, or play safe and leave a long putt for birdie.
The Spinner at Whale Beach Country Club05

Par 3

The Spinner

A fun hole on the flattest part of the course, the shot requires elevation and spin to stop the ball on the green.
The Climb at Whale Beach Country Club06

Par 3

The Climb

The hardest hole on the course climbs a very steep gradient to a green with two pins. A highly lofted club is selected, but utilised with a full swing.
The Perch at Whale Beach Country Club07

Par 3

The Perch

Played to a difficult pin on the top-tiered green, the shot must be carefully considered to avoid an almost impossible downhill putt.
Over The House at Whale Beach Country Club08

Par 4

Over The House

This brilliantly designed hole invites the risk-taker to fly the building and land on a tiny green. The more conservative approach is to lay up for a simple second-shot pitch.
The Homecoming at Whale Beach Country Club09

Par 4

The Homecoming

Reversing the shape of the eighth, this hole needs careful placement to ensure a sight of the upper green for the second shot.

A personal invitation from the Penn Family to the inaugural Whale Beach Invitational in support of Children's Medical Research Institute.
We're delighted to invite you to our home for the inaugural Whale Beach Invitational. This is a place our family loves, and we can't think of a better way to spend a day here than with good people, a little friendly competition, and a cause that means a great deal to us. Children's Medical Research Institute is doing extraordinary work to change the future for children and their families, and we're proud to support it in this small way. We do hope you can join us, and share in our home, our slightly unusual course, and a day we've been looking forward to putting together. The Penn Family.
